CDC’s focus on initiatives for the development of the Pakistani Capital Market has been acknowledged far and wide. Over the years, the continuous drastic reduction in charges for CDC’s services has become one of the key initiatives taken to stimulate activity in the capital market. The practice to revise CDC’s fee tariff is aimed at providing customers with cost effective depository services (mainly electronic custody and settlement) and to share the company’s success with its clients.

Recently, CDC has offered a continuous course of reduction in the Custody fee for sponsors / majority shareholders with prior approval of the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The notification of the schedule of this reduction (given below), which will take place over a period of five years, was published in the Gazette of Pakistan on June 24, 2009.

  2009-10 2010-11 2011-12 2012-13 2013-14
Custody rate 0.00675% 0.006% 0.00525% 0.0045% 0.00375%

Through this continuing market benefiting resolve, the CDC board of directors and management has once again proved the company’s commitment to provide relief to its clients without compromising on the quality and diversity of services offered.
