Syed Ahmed Ali has over 20 years of experience in IT management, security and enterprise architecture. He has been serving CDC in various roles, so he possesses deep rooted understanding of its business, purpose and priorities.

Mr. Ali currently oversees information, cyber and technology security. He trains, develops, and empowers security teams and departments to deliver exceptional services and achieve collective security objectives. He ensures that proactive defense measures are in place to detect and respond to advanced attacks, APTs, and ransomware. He has created and maintained critical information security documents, policies, frameworks, and strategies that align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Mr. Ahmed’s core competencies in IT Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), Resilience Management, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning, Penetration testing, Vulnerability management, Intrusion Detection\Prevention systems and ISO27001 & ISO22301 certification programs enable him to efficiently implement and supervise organization wide security of a critical financial institution, such as CDC. Mr. Ahmed’s effective public speaking and interpersonal skills empower him to develop strong professional relationships with all stakeholders to strive towards the common goal of ultimate organizational security from internal and external threats and vulnerabilities.

Mr. Ali has obtained his Bachelors of Computer Science from FAST-nu. He also holds a Master’s degree specializing in Business Information Systems from the University of East London. Mr. Ahmed is also a certified member of the prestigious business continuity institute BCI and has completed his certification as CBCI.
