Syed Hassan Aslam

Syed Hassan Aslam graduated from FAST Institute of Computer Science and holds an MBA from Brunel Business School, London. He is ISACA certified information security professional (CISM) and qualified ISO Lead Auditor through IRCA accredited course.

Mr. Aslam started his career as software engineer and has worked internationally with Fortune 500 companies on large-scale projects including ERP reviews, B2B systems integration, Sarbanes Oxley s404 implementation, Datacenter design, BCP / DR planning and IT GRC. Before joining CDC, he worked at Ford Rhodes Sidat Hyder (member firm of EY) where he successfully delivered IT risk assurance and business continuity planning projects for Banking, FMCG, Telecomm, Oil & Gas and Utility companies across Pakistan and MENA region.

He joined CDC in 2007 as Manager IT Strategy and helped in the formation of CDC’s subsidiary, ITMinds. In the initial years of ITMinds, he also managed delivery of international assignments. He assumed the responsibilities of CISO in 2008 with an objective to expand information security, business continuity planning and cybersecurity programs at CDC. Since 2009, he is leading the ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 22301 certification programs across all divisions of CDC and its subsidiaries. He has been playing an active role in digital risk management for new initiatives and internal controls implementation for ISAE 3402 standard certification.

He is member of Asia-Pacific CSD Group’s CISO forum and has earned local and international recognition for information security excellence over the years.
