Dividend/Zakat & Tax Deduction Summary Report introduced on CDC’s eServices portal

In order to facilitate investors, a Dividend/Zakat & Tax Deduction Summary Report has been made available on CDC- eServices portal under eDividend tab. Through this report, shareholders can view summary of all cash dividends received against securities during a financial year at one place. The report also provides details such as amount of gross and net dividend, tax and zakat deductions, and date of payment of dividend. Moreover, it will help shareholders in filing their tax returns.

CDC has also started sending Dividend / Zakat & Tax Deduction Report to shareholders through email once data pertaining to dividend disbursement by listed company has been uploaded by respective Share Registrar on the eServices portal. The email is sent to shareholders having their valid email addresses available in their respective CDS accounts in case of book entry securities or as per the records available with respective Share Registrar for physical securities.

The eServices registration process has also been made simpler and easier which would help encourage shareholders to use the portal and have easy access to their Dividend details.
