The 19th Annual Asia-Pacific CSD Group (ACG) General Meeting and Conference was held from November 3rd – 6th 2015 in Taipei, Taiwan. The conference and General meeting is a yearly event held by the regional association and has participation from the member CSDs and Clearing Houses of the region along with various other institutions spanning across the globe. This year’s event was held in Taipei, Taiwan and was hosted by the Taiwan Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited. (TDCC).
The Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) serves as the Secretariat for ACG and Mr. Muhammad Hanif Jakhura, CEO – CDC, is currently serving as the Chairman of the Executive Committee. CDC participated at the event with great fervor and presented various updates with respect to ACG activities along with other activities taking place at the global and regional level. One important initiative taken at ACG 19 was the introduction of the Asian Fund Standardization Forum (AFSF) which was launched by the New Business Task Force of ACG.
The event was quite successful and was reflective of the growing strength of the international collaboration that has been engaged by CDC for the past several years.
